All the trails around here are public. There aren't any 'private' trail that I am aware of.

What was I thinking??! Of course you need a rear view mirror on this type of trail. You need to be able to see those darn kids running up behind you doing 20mph. And what about those crazy runner moms pushing 30lb jogging strollers? Wouldn't want to be buzzed by one of them going by. And let's not forget about those darn annoying teenagers on skateboards and scooters. Yes, absolutely! Having a mirror which allows you to see behind you on a public trail with pedestrians and chiddlers is a must, because in all likelihood you on your bike will be one of the slowest moving objects on this trail.
