Dura Ace 9000 SRM - Hassel Free?

I've yet to find a PM that I'm completely satisfied with (the criteria being it has to be integrated into a DA 9000 crank). I've been using a Pioneer for 9 months but have been experiencing left side drop outs consistently for the last couple months. It's now with Pioneer being repaired. In the interim I'm using a stages, but am also experiencing consistent drop outs. I tried moving my Garmin 520 around since I read that some people experience problems if it's on a k-edge mount but that didn't solve it. I also made sure the battery was new and the battery tab was pulled out to ensure a good connection. I'm going to talk to the LBS where I ordered it to see my options. Maybe it's because these last to PMs have given me problems, but I'm considered just dropping the cash for a new SRM. Are these as problem free as I would think they are for the price, or do I risk experiencing some type of random problem like I am now? I don't plan on doing anything until I hear back from Pioneer on getting my existing one fixed, but I'm thinking I would sell it and the Stages to get a SRM. Am I crazy? Have others had trouble with stages and/or Pioneer? Someone talk me out of dropping the money on a SRM.

All I want is a PM to work when I use it and show consistent numbers.
