Any LBS should have looked at the Tech Docs - SHIMANO Dealer's Manual / User's Manual look at the EV for ST-5700

From your description/image, you want Y6TH02000 R.H. Main Lever Support You should be able to order this part by any bike shop who stocks Shimano. It's here on Amazon as well https://www.amazon.com/Shimano-10-Sp...=1&*entries*=0 or Rakuten Shimano 105 5700 10-Speed ST-5700 R.H MAIN Lever SUPPORT R - Y6TH02000 - Rakuten.com
Thank you very much indeed. You nailed it. I have ordered it from Rakuten.

I stopped going to the knowledgeable Trek selling LBS, after about two years or so, because the member of staff their got pissed off with me when I purchased a carbon frame online. He felt strongly that the LBS need be protected.

The LBS I now go to is staffed by university students who, as you point out, don't know a lot about bikes, but they are happy to put components onto a frame from Velobuild, which enables me to keep riding a low down carbon road bike. Yeah.

If I were of 'the protect the LBS' mindset, I would be still on my (horror) Trek, and about 13 kg heavier.
