If the idea you had in mind was to buy a 40 year old vintage 10 speed bike. this one might fill the bill. The downtube shifters, and the 2X5 drive train are a dead giveaway for this being a 1970s bike. It's in remarkably good shape for something so old. It must have been a trophy bike - hung in the garage for decades and rarely used. The basic lugged steel frame (not at all "special") and ratrap pedals are consistent with a bike costing around $100 at that time. You can still find 27" tires but probably not at your LBS.
