People who think they will never make a human mistake with a mission-critical mechanical system are people who haven't lived long enough to make a mistake yet. The small inconvenience to removing wheels with lawyer lips is a small price to pay for a backup safety system that can prevent a gruesome wreck if you ever don't properly tighten the QR. It's a tradeoff I'll gladly make. And for disc-braked bikes, they're a must have.
