Yes, it is probably an adjustment, but it might be the fault of the saddle. Read some articles on fitting on your bicycle. Peter White's article is one of my favorites, but you may want to use it as a starting point. There is some disagreement about what is ideal, but this one is sensible and useful for most of us. Your saddle might be too high, too long, the wrong shape for you, tipped too far up, tipped too far down, too far forward, or too far back, and of course, it could be a combination of these things.
There's no way to know which model saddle will fit you, because everyone's butt has a different shape. It may be necessary to try a few saddles, which takes time and money. Your local bike shop can sell you a saddle that is popular there which means you have a good chance of liking it.
One problem might be that your saddle is too soft. Many inexperienced cyclists need soft saddles because riding is painful for them. But as they gain experience, the softness is a liability. They are best off getting something hard, and at that point, they'll be ready for it. There may be a period of three or four days of slight pain in the muscles around the sit bones, but they do toughen up. Once those muscles are strong, you can use them to your advantage and pedal more efficiently and build up your leg muscles.
Numbness in the genitals is a serious matter, and you should not continue to ride until you make a change, and you may need help of a mechanic or a doctor. The person who helps you will get you on a better saddle or in a better position, and that will relieve the numbness or loss of circulation.
There is a Fit section here on bikeforums. I suggest you post there. See if you can get pictures of you while you sit on the bike, either leaning against the wall or rolling outside. We might be able to give you pointers just from those pictures.
