I went with Pacenti's over the Kinlins because I got a sweet deal on the rims ($120 for two), and they're fantastic rims. My 24f/28r setup is plenty strong and light, and I did 2-cross in front, 3-cross in rear, with about a 1440g total weight (without skewers, but those are only 44g for both). For the record, I'm running Pacenti SL23 rims, BHS SLF85 front hub, BHS SL210 rear hub, Sapim Laser spokes and 14mm alloy nipples.

I would not go lower than 24f/28r at your weight. I'm a shade under 165 lbs, but I was 180 lbs when I built the set, and the 24/28 combo gives some great stiffness without sacrificing too much in the way of weight... the majority of the weight is in the rim and hub anyway. Also consider that an alloy nipple is roughly .35g, while a Sapim laser spoke is roughly 4.5g. 8 more spokes will be under 40 grams, and you gain much more peace of mind. It's a good every-day pattern.

My next set of wheels will likely be Kinlin XR31T rims laced to Hope hubs. The only way I'll be running lower than 24/28 is if my weight drops below 155, and even then I'll be saving a nearly inconsequential amount of weight.
