Not much info available on the Titanes but my understanding is that unlike the EX and AX that were made by Litespeed for the US market (predominantly) the Titane was made by Merckx from Litespeed tubing for Europe. Can anyone confirm that?
I have no way to confirm it, but I remember reading about them a long time ago. I'm almost certain the frame was made in Tennessee with dropouts provided by Merckx, shipped to Belgium and painted there. I think the fork was made by Merckx as well. I think the ti Merckx team bikes in the late 90's were made by Litespeed also. Litespeed made bikes rebranded for a number of teams.
