I visited the Vigorelli velodrome around 1985. There was an American football match between two Italian teams taking place with about 100 spectators. The scoreboard used yards rather than metres. I took this photo at that time.
The wood track was in terrible condition and unrideable.
I'm glad to see it being restored.
