I have coke cans thrown at me twice in South Carolina, been sprayed with a soda pop by the yahoo's in vehicles. In Georgia and Florida riding was pretty good. In Alabama where I am now these yahoo's are something else. As for other riders saying something to me, it has never happened. Having said that I will say this, when riding my mountain bike I would see the local group ride of the elite in their minds and I would say hello or wave and I would get nothing from most of them. When I ride my road bike either carbon or steel they all usually extend a greeting. I'm old enough now to where I could give a flying **** what they do so I don't worry about it. There are bike snobs out there though and then there are some really decent folk. What's going on with this rudeness is true in every other aspect of life. Who has the better car, bbq grill, the wine they drink, the coffee they drink. It's just not worth worrying about. LOL Just ride your bike and enjoy it even if it hurts sometimes! Oh my coffee press is better than yours!
