QR skewers are pretty much all tightened by hand, right? I can't imagine any worse part of a bike "loosening" during a ride.

That, as a quote, sounds quite iffy scary to me. If you have a calibrated wrist you don't need a torque wrench for most bits, but if you don't you do.
