Glad to know others commit this heresy. Mine's a UO8 with bars, brakes and fenders off an old Ross - both were freebies that were being tossed at a dump. More heresy: solid rubber tires to make it less perilous on NYC streets - the Peugeot was actually wearing the solid rubber when it was being thrown out.

Thanks. She still loves that bike, only now she's my wife and she hadn't been riding because we have a three month old. She was just saying how she's missing riding it.
