50,000 lbs of pollution is a lot to avoid. Was that calc'd comparing you to another person using a car?
I asked them about that when they awarded me for "25,000 pounds" (got a "Champion" coffee mug for that) It was calculated compared to commuting in a car, and there are also some other factors such as miles not traveled at all. My summary since 2010 doesn't show 50,000 pounds but their logic was at least reasonable.
I support what they're doing so I don't want to make light of it, even though the idea of commuting "Champion" is funny for some reason. Makes me think of Ben-Hur on the mean streets ... but I'll try to plug their program as the opportunity arises.
