Bumping this because I am really close to placing an order on Nashbar for a pair of panniers. I was all set on using the rear rack I already have (I can attach it using the seatpost lug, thanks for the advice) but this thread has me reconsidering a front rack instead. The biggest issue I can think of is the steering getting blown around in crosswinds. Does this happen?
Is there any compelling reason I should get a front rack instead of using the Blackburn rear rack I already have? I've done some research and it seems like the bike will handle better with front panniers than rear panniers.
