I turned my 85 Miyata Ridge Runner into a cruiser years ago and use it as an errand runner. Those that have not had the experience of life with one of the early MTB designs will never understand how wonderful they ride. When the Ross MTB's came out we were blown away at how well they did it. Used to selling Ross Compacts and Eurotours, then wam! Right between the eyes! Great bikes.
