I have a Lemond, zurich (it's a 98 model) in a 61cm. It is a great frame to ride on cruising type of riding. The BB flex is bad, have to trim the front mech (campy) to try to stop the rubbing of the chain. It is a very comfy & springy ride though. It is a bit like a wet noodle, when cornering hard you can really twist up the frame. I have a lugged pinarello made of ORIA tubing which is stiffer and heavier but still rides very nice, corners much nicer, can really get alot of lean angle and trust with the front end. I have got the Lemond in the garage, frame & fork in case I ever need it.

I have been racing/training on an all ALU frame with straight blade carbon fork and find it stiffer and more comfy than the steel bikes. I have the Pinarello as a sunday best, rolling with friends bike. I would like a high-end scapin steel frame with a wound-up fork as a best bike, maybe one day. I would still race on ALU or carbon, maybe the new Fondriest Domino plus (or whatever it is called)

wow long post, the 853 lemond is a great ride, try something similar it is very relaxing even if it is a little robbing of your power. Hope that helps a bit.
