I just bought a 86 Schwinn Peloton, frame and fork only. I want to use modern components to build it out, mainly as my other bikes all have vintage components and I'd like to try a bike with modern components.

I've tried searching BikeForums and googling, but can't find much info on what size parts I need to get, such as what size headset would fit. I've got digital calipers but can't say I trust myself to accurately measure diameters where I need to be accurate to 1/10 of a mm or so. The seat post seems to be 27.0 as I've tried the posts from a couple of other bikes I have and it fits well.

Does anybody have some links that would tell me the specs for the headset I need?

I have an unused set of 10sp. Campy Veloce ergo shifters I plan on using. I would like to match it with a Veloce crankset and gears and calipers. What do I need to know about Veloce power torque crankset to make sure I order the correct size?
