Many folks have commented and there was a huge fight with Nassau over the repair of this Shore Rd. as we all know.
It's really just a ped. walk, no real room for bikes. I think Nassau would have to condemn property on the west side of the road, in order to widen the road to include a real bike path/MUP. The water side is Nat'l Wildlife Refuge property and can't be built on.
