Final result...

After talking to my lbs owner and being encouraged not to get the DuoTrap, or the DuoTrap and Trip 300 combo due to connection issues and inflated cost, I went with a Cateye Strada Slim.

Sure, it irks me a bit not to use the Blendr stem and the cool DuoTrap integration in the chainstay, but I felt the juice just wasn't worth the squeeze. The Bontrager solution gets poor to barely average reviews and the Cateye solution is far better rated. Plus, it's a $45 vs $120 deal on the finance side. This will be my third Cateye computer in 15 years, and I've had a perfect track record with them. So that's where I landed with this one.
