The cop claimed the cyclist avoided stopping when ordered by other cops at a previous intersection. The cops report also claimed the cyclist turned to try and hit the cop, so the cop acted in self-defense, that the cyclist resisted arrest and lots of other BS.
For those claiming this is not the norm for cops, many other cops knew the report was false but provided support for the bad cop. Question, if good cops do not stand up against the bad cops, are the good cops really good cops? How often does crap like this happen, but without a tourist having a video camera on the action? Without this video, the cyclist would have been jailed for a felony and "good" cops were willing to let that happen.
I have met both true good cops, bad cops and some bad good cops (cops that do not do the intial bad deed but still protect the bad cop). It is well past time for the truly good cops to get rid of the bad cops and bad good cops.
