I like the extra data you get from HRM-RUN, even if there's not much use for it. It doesn't replace a footpod, but you get stride length per stride, as a graph later and while you run. I naturally try to run too quickly, focusing on smaller steps at a higher cadence has been good for me. The "ground contact time balance" is interesting to me because I clearly run with a 50/50 left/right balance but I pedal closer to 45/55 and sometimes it's even more extreme. I'm not sure what to make of that but it's interesting.
I also run. I've had my FR620 and HRM Run for 1 1/2 yrs with no issues I now use it on my bike using the bike mode of the 620. Again, no problems. I always wet the electrode areas and the cloth section with water. It probably helps that I sweat pretty good.
