Hello!

Just joined because Google searches keep bringing me to forum pages for excellent info.

I'm currently working on doing a budget resto on my 1984 Schwinn World Sport, a $40 Craigslist find that I bought about 2 years ago. It was a bargain and has been plenty of fun, but I'm going through it now cleaning it up, making adjustments and replacing wear parts. The frame has lots of scuffs and scrapes, so it will need a paint job at some point.

I've ridden bikes my whole life, but mostly to and from work, for surf checks and to fishing holes. I always wanted to try a road bike and I'm absolutely taken by the speed of those skinny tires.

Good to meet you all and I'll put some photos up in the proper section of where the bike was when it started and where it is now.
