Well, folks do, signs for lost dogs, condos for sale, various races, etc.; they tend not to last long. The towns involved actually have pretty restrictive by-laws for signage on the trail (think Lady Bird Johnson), and the Lexington bicycle group that takes care of that town's segment of the Minuteman had to jump through some bureaucratic hoops in order to put up their signs (hazard reporting, plowing donations, Burma Shave admonitions). VOTE FOR SKEEZICKS signs would come down pronto.
