Amazon is great... but sometimes one needs a tool on a tight schedule.

LBS? No guarantee the LBS even carries the correct tools in stock, and I'm not going to hunt around town on a wild goose chase.

So you go to a hardwar store and buy a bolt and then you cut, file or grind the appropriate size slot in it and you have a tool that you can use any time without risking those hard to get nipples if the nipples are an unusual size.
