Oops, this is BikeForums. The Dawes is a faster bike.

I recently posted about my 141 mile 66th birthday ride that took place last Saturday. The first 77 miles on my 1983 RR Paramount starting at 1:13AM and the next 64 on my 2013 Giant Propel Advanced SL...what those TdF guys ride sometimes. I used the same wheels and rode the same roads only I was already tired when getting on the Propel. Paramount weighed in at 3.5lbs more.

THE PROPEL RODE EASIER AND FASTER
