After 40 plus years of ownership, about 14 of those of active riding, the leather on the nose of my Brooks saddle was tearing through. I can't say that I treated it properly over the years, I rode it in downpours without drying it, I overtensioned the tension screw, and maybe applied Proofide too often. Earlier in the year on the California Eroica ride it really became a problem, failing in torsion. One of the members here, I forget who it was, recommended RHM's services in releathering it. So I sent it in. I am happy with the results, there are some blemishes, but nothing that some riding won't iron out. If you're looking for a concourse result I'd say be more picky. But it rides wonderful and looks the part.
