Why not just get a piece of decent quality metal, cut/grind a slot in it to precisely fit your spoke nipple and thus have a custom spoke key that'll do the job without risk to those spoke nipples?
My hub-end nipples are large enough that no commercial spoke tool fits. These nipples are *twice* the size of a normal one. To be honest, a 3" spanner works well as long as its snugged up.
