Oddly, it is far more acceptable on this forum to cheap out on things like frames, wheels, seatposts, handlebars, etc. all of which could fail and cause quite a bit of harm to the user. Fake helmet...it's still a bunch of styrofoam. How much worse can it be than a real one?
I didn't say anything about cheap vs. expensive vs. fake or whatever – only
new vs. used.
I find it difficult to understand why any reasonable person, with any sense of self-preservation, would entertain the purchase of a
used helmet.
