Bridgestone frame interest in Toronto area?

My son has been riding a Bridgestone RB in Toronto as an around-town beater. I gave it to him 9-10 years ago when I was done with it. It was probably new in the mid to late 1980s. He says the BB is now toast and there are other components that require replacement, so (being 30-something) he's ready to toss it. But I have the sense that an old Bridgestone frame might be of interest to bike folks. Maybe I'm way off base, as the frame is far from "unblemished'. Before I try to nail him down to get me pics/model number/size/etc, maybe someone could tell me if it's worth any effort to keep this old war horse out of the dump (that's where it will end up, I fear, unless the frame would be worth going out of someone's way to pick up). He's busy and doesn't need to be hassled for a few bucks, but maybe the frame would be worthwhile to someone around Toronto?
