Thanks for this brilliant instruction sheet.
It helped me to realise, that I purchased a Record shifter set with the
610 "Record twin control clip" and that I was missing 2 washers.
The frame has the braze-on controls (downtube shifters) and I tried to fit the control levers on them. It was wrong.
I have mounted the Record twin control clip and applied the missing washers.
Now, I can adjust the tightness of the controls by only using my fingers to apply the right pressure to keep the chain in position
