I agree. Sometimes, when someone passes me, it reminds me that I'm plodding too slow. I then try to keep up. But I keep a respectful distance and I never draft. I don't pass unless I'm confident I will continue at a pace faster than the other rider. I might stay a little closer if the guy passed me without saying "on your left" or ringing a bell.

One basic rule of riding both on the path and the road is never pass unless you can stay ahead.
