I've been off here for a while. I turned 60, and my former employer decided not to renew my work contract. (They put all their employees on contracts a couple of years ago.) Anyway, after 16 years in the desert, I had to move for new employment. I landed in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Making less, paying less. I guess I can't complain--- a lot of people look a lot longer for a job... especially at 60. Closer to all our family now, which is a plus. The biggest trauma was moving. Some pretty good riding around here, too! Plus, some decent microbreweries. Funny, but I realize that I missed the trees--- I guess the Irish/Druid/hillbilly/Taoist part of me was getting a little sunburned. Now, if I can just get over the feeling that I'm being waterboarded... Humidity is 'way higher! When life gives you lemons... get the rest of the stuff and make margaritas!
