(Total beginner here... so please be patient, I'm going to try to best describe my problem with very limited knowledge/vocabulary)

I just acquired the frame and most parts of a 2009 Trek District, complete with Gates carbon belt drive.
The rear wheel is in bad condition, and I would like to replace it with the rear wheel from my commuter bike, which has a Sturmey Archer SRF-3 hub, moving the belt cog from one to the other
Unfortunately, the wheels aren't the same system.
The one with the Sturmey hub has the ring and dents on the sides (sorry for lack of vocabulary), similar to this:

Is there a way to somehow make my 3-speed wheel compatible with a Gates carbon belt? Replacing the cog for example?
