Let me know if you do come this way. You will be my guest.
Check out Sosbee Cycling Park if you have not already.
We do have some great roads around Milledgeville. The group ride situation fluctuates. I lead a weekly no drop
road ride on Tuesdays at 5:30. We typically ride about 25 miles at 13-14 mph average. There is a good group of faster riders who meet a couple of times a week, but the start time and location changes and they don't post a ride schedule anywhere. The LBS,
Oconee Outfitters can put you in contact with them. Other rides are ad hoc and often communicated via the
bike club's Facebook group. We host the
April Fools Ride in the Spring which shows off some of our best road routes.
We are also a hot spot for gravel/dirt road riding. I lead a weekly Thursday Grind ride and most months a Monthly Grind ride. We are gearing up for the
Red Clay Ramble race/recreational gravel event on August 20. Just yesterday, we had several people out riding the different length RCR routes on the
July Monthly Grind.
