I am about to join the Quick club. I have ordered a 2017 Cannondale Quick Disc 1, and I am supposed to pick it up near the end of this month.

I did quite a bit of online research and went on quite a few test rides. I looked at Diamonback, Trek, Specialized and Cannondale. During the course of my research I decided to increase my budget from about $300 when I first started to about $1300 when I was ready to make my decision. I ended up getting the Quick 1 for $1175.

It is my understanding that the Quick Disc took the place of the Quick Speed. The guy at my LBS told me that the Quick Speeds are no longer available, unless some bike shop still has one or more in stock. I am not sure if the frames are the same or not, but I do know that the components on the Quick Disc 1 are a higher grade than the components on the Quick Speed 1 had been.

I am not an experienced rider, but I hope to get out on the roads and bike paths quite often and use the new bike as motivation to lose some weight and get into better shape.
