So what's your point? If I wanted a Trek 920 with racks I would've bought one, but I wanted a DT so I bought and added the racks of my choice.
The OP asked a specific question about racks & fenders for their DT, personally I have enjoyed the relevant input, which has nothing to do with what other bikes come with. Trading a DT for a 920 is not an option just to get racks!
