Are you kidding? I would have serious domestic issues. Unless you have someone you can pay for a lift, who would have patience to frequently stop what they're doing and pick you up because you couldn't be bothered to carry a tube, pump and multi tool? I suppose you could lock your bike up, call a cab, and drive back later with tools or a truck, but why? Maybe you just don't bike far? I suppose probably folks with knobby tires get fewer flats. Still though, even if just for one, why? There's just no reason not to have the basics.
