That looks like a find. Mine's a 2000 or so and it's served me well since I bought it used off of CL in 2005. I finished taking the grip shifters off after they started falling off, you will probably like them after you've had it for a while. Those bikes make great commuters and all around bikes, I think you'll like it like most of the rest of us do.
Thanks No motor, I think that's just how I feel about this bike, it's an "all-around" bike, a good way for me to get some miles under me, and see where the road leads
