The Schwalbe One /Pro One is probably the most overrated tire I've ever encountered.
I've had exactly the opposite experience. Previously had Hutchinson Fusion3 and Michelin ProRace 3, and both got significantly more flats than the original One. I'm getting about 3k miles for rear tires, which was about par for the other tires. I wore out a rear One without ever putting sealant in it.
The Fusion3's road like rocks and flatted if you looked at them funny. And the Pro3's would be great until they were about 2/3rd worn, then just turned into flat magnets.
I'm not sold on the lighter Pro One, I've got one to try, but not sure how the wear life is going to be.
