They may have been there for the same reason - apparently a Nissan commercial. Since Nissan (Datsun) made Japanese WW-II tanks, I'm very curious to see how an American tank will be used in their commercial, and what it has to do with ice cream.

Or maybe they were just selling ice cream to the film crew.
