I would not bother to put sealant in a tube as a preventative measure for a 60 mile ride, but if I was prioritizing easy flat repair, I would clip or tape a canister of Vittoria Pit Stop or maybe Hutchinson Fast'Air to the frame or toss one in my luggage, and save the tubes, patches, and pumps as 2nd and 3rd tier repairs.
