Yes, the section of trail from Dundee Rd to Milwaukee Ave can be the most technical. Flooding can make that section damp for weeks at a time. The trail does get better to about Beck Lake. Here is a century route that covers most of the trail:

Let us know what you think of the Schwalbe G-One. It looks like a great tire.
Up to Milwaukee is where I've ridden. Nice route. Wish I could average 15mph over 100 miles, or do 100 miles at all.
After much research and deliberation I didn't find anything that seemed nearly as good as the G-One for a combination of on-road rolling resistance + trail duty + weight. They're more expensive than I had hoped to spend and completely out of stock everywhere.
