My wife is about 5'2", and rides a Trek 1500 WSD. Its her first roadie, and she LOVES it, though I gotta say, since I do most of the work on it, it is a pain to find parts for 650 wheels (my LBS, where I bought the bike, only stocks $$$ replacement wheels, and there aren't many options if I want to order instead). I tried to talk her into a women's bike with 700 wheels (I think she tried a Lemond Reno WSD), but she felt much more comfortable on the 650s, they feel "Less tippy." What could I say? We bought her the bike she felt most comfortable with, and she rides it all the time.
