I still actually like the regular 23 mm tires unless I have to be on anything with pea gravel. I do not notice a huge different in the ride of wider tires but have drop my psi down for years ago to 100-110 fr and rear. Road my Verdestein Tri comps today that are actually around 21 mm and look skinning compared to my Conti Grand 4 Pr 2 at 23. These tires roll smooth as the wider stuff but not on bad pavement.

I don't like the buried cable system they do look neater and clean but are a pain the change out not nearly like the old external cables.

I really have no use for tubeless tires the old clincher seem to be just find and with a light tube and Conti GP 2's they ride very good.

I suppose much of this depends on the conditions we ride in and the elements but being an old roadie I find maybe marketing is simply getting in the way. I don't see any need for disk brakes either I suppose the traditional may dry up in the near future?
My thoughts exactly. [See my signature!]

I don't even look at the "new stuff" anymore. Seems like cycling technology reached it's peak quite some time ago, and now it's just about making it "new and different" so that people will want to get rid of their perfectly well-functioning old stuff, just because it's "out-dated"; and buy the new different stuff, not because it's better [It usually isn't], but just "to be current".

Hey, now that 11-speed has been out for a while, we all have to throw away that out-dated 10-speed crap....I mean, can you imagine, only riding with 10 cogs??!!!! And only a real dinosaur like me would ride with only 9 cogs!!
