Good rant. Here are mine:
Internal cable routing: a major PITA. I've had a $6,000 bike hanging in my garage for 3 years because it is such a hassle to change a derailleur cable. But I have several other nice bikes.
Press-fit BB standards: just say no. Fortunately you can go to Ebay and in seconds buy any one of 1,000 high-end carbon frames direct from Asia. With treaded BB shells and external cable routing.
11-speeds. Nope. I jumped off of the planned obsolescence/add-another-cog-every-5-years circus years ago. Having to 'upgrade' your wheels to accommodate 11 speeds: Ha.
The good stuff:
Brifters. Especially Campagnolo.
Carbon. Frames, wheels, bars, cranksets. Better as a construction material than alu, titanium, steel. I have bikes in all, and carbon is simply better.
Carbon tubular wheels. Life is too short to be riding clinchers. Stan's sealant has revolutionized my use of tubulars.
