you live in a southern climate I wonder if you can ride without gloves when rain is expected. if the wet gloves in from perspiration then maybe try riding w/o gloves? up here in my area I have used glove liners in winter and through wet cold conditions. they help keep my fingers dryer and warmer. not sure if they would help in your case. I think they do make thin wind proof / water proof cycling gloves but are likely to be expensive

I decided to wear my full fingered gloves this morning and they are moist. they should dry in my car during the day. however I'm only doing one-way commutes one day a week and will be driving home. I remember commuting year round I did have several pair of gloves stocked here and there includign at the office so that I could leave a set to dry in the boiler room over night and be ready for the return trip the next day
