You have described what you expect from a job. Fair enough. Like I said earlier, we all create our own reality. If that's the job you want, that's the job you get. I really have no desire to convince anyone what they should or should not expect or seek in a job. The OP asked a question, made the above statement and I stand by my assertion that, given the particular circumstances of his/her position, I would include a Trans America Bicycle Tour under a heading such as other or related experience, just as I would add volunteer or other unpaid situations where I demonstrated skills applicable to the job at hand.

To argue that, in your case, given your tour experience and the job situation you are looking for, you would not include it really doesn't answer the OP's question at all does it. It only applies his needs to your circumstance, which is not the same. How that helps either you or him I do not know.
