I have been taking a mild dose (75) since 2009 after being diagnosed with prostate cancer the second time. Since I had no prostate, my treatments were a combination of different types of radiation, Casodex and Lupron.
Got put on the Effexor due to the Lupron (hot flashes) and mild mood problems common to cancer patients. Never been able to get off.
Were you able to get off of it OK?
I got off of it okay. It took a while because the doctor wanted to take it slowly. When I was on it, I did not like the side effects I experienced. The next time I needed medical assistance I took Wellbutrin. I had no trouble with that one, side effects or getting off of it.
