I've really made a conscious effort to pare down my news sources in the last year. Too much slant here, bile there, and drivel everywhere. It is pretty sad, and I hope that it's simply growing pains as media continues to feel out social technology.
I'm not sure the news services were prepared to provide a 24 hour news reporting service. As a result it's spiraled into non-stop Jerry Springer.
