That's a good idea. I am usually too impatient to get something off and just use a flathead screwdriver. As a consequnce, all my BB lockrings are disfigured.
I will have to keep an eye out for disposable bamboo chopsticks, and keep them in the garage with the package of bamboo bbq skewers that I use all the time (they're great for applying glue, poking, scraping, helping get grips off, etc, but not strong enough for knocking lockrings loose)
